Private Suites

Notten’s Bush Camp features 8 private, beautifully appointed suites, with open plan bedroom and en-suite bathroom. All suites have both indoor and outdoor shower facilities. Each suite leads on to a private wooden deck with a beautiful view of the bush. Paraffin lamps and candles replace electric lighting for ambience, and all rooms are cooled with overhead ceiling fans. (Facilities are available for the recharging of electric devices in the lodge reception.)

Facilities

The lodge offers splendid panoramic views, the Nature Spa, and a sparkling swimming pool with open pavilion. An open plan main lounge provides every comfort, with a large and fully stocked bar and wine cellar. The dining area leads to a wooden deck overlooking a vast plain and waterhole. Indoor and outdoor spa treatment rooms are available for a variety of treatments.

Cuisine

Delicious meals by the fire are served around a communal table in the open-air boma and in the candlelit summer house on cooler evenings. Meals are a social event and guests gather in the enclosed boma around a log fire under a canopy of stars in winter or in the open plan summerhouse lit up with candlelight during summer. Meals are eaten together around one communal table, with the company of the Notten’s and their Notten’s Bush Camp team. This creates a wonderful atmosphere and an opportunity for the guests to share stories and conversation with other interesting people from South Africa and around the world.

Safaris

Explore the natural sanctuary of the Sabi Sands. Early morning and evening game drive safaris in an open-top Land Rover with an experienced game ranger promise sightings of the Big 5 and other wildlife in the region. Unique walking safaris take you into the heart of the bush with an armed game ranger knowledgeable in all aspects of conservation, ecology and the environment. Bird watching and photographic safaris are offered for those with special interests.
