By concession rights, only two safari vehicles are allowed in this part of the reserve at any time, giving guests the privilege of peace, quiet and undisturbed wildlife for the best game viewing opportunities.
Birding safaris led by a trained ornithologist are available by arrangement. Photographic safaris, with specially-equipped open Landrovers and private tuition by expert photographers are offered several times a year.

The main lodge offers a view of the nearby waterhole, where some of the plentiful wild animals come to drink. Cool off for a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, with a great view of the dam.
