Facilities within the camp include an open plan main living area, an infinity swimming pool, and a traditional open-air dining area. A luxury spa offers a wide choice of body treatments to soothe the body, relax the mind, and indulge the senses.

The lodge is an intimate one; its open-plan design and natural building materials allow it to blend harmoniously with the African bush surrounds. The main living area is intended for comfort. Whether quietly reflecting on the view, reading a good book, or enjoying conversation with friends or fellow safari goers, the warmth and charm of the lodge environment is the foundation of the Arathusa safari experience. The infinity swimming pool overlooks the waterhole, and is the perfect spot for wildlife viewing while cooling off on a sweltering African summer’s afternoon. Arathusa’s Safari Spa offers guests a comprehensive spa and wellness experience – indulge in luxurious pampering and relaxation, while answering to the call of the wild.

Cuisine

Guests can enjoy an alfresco dining experience in the traditional open-air boma (a brick & grass enclosed dining area), while being serenaded by the sounds of Africa’s creatures. Sumptuous cuisine is the order of the day. Meal times at Arathusa are a sociable affair, and guests are treated to sumptuous dishes, fresh produce and daily baked confectionery from our kitchen. Enjoy traditional South African cuisine in the outdoor boma, or stunning four-course fine dining at the lodge under the expert direction of the chefs. Arathusa also offers a range of superior South African wines.

Safaris

Private landrovers with experienced rangers and trackers head into the bush in the early morning and late afternoon in search of Africa’s Big Five, and more. The more active will enjoy a guided bush walk with one of Arathusa’s experienced rangers.
